What the harbor consists of

The breakwater, pier, pontoons, slipway, refueling station and promenade were designed as one system and calculated for the marine environment: everything is made of corrosion-resistant materials.

The breakwater

A fill of limestone and large river stone, partly reinforced with concrete. It keeps the water area calm and protects the shore from erosion. Part of the promenade is laid right along the breakwater.

The permanent pier

Reinforced-concrete driven piles, beams and deck slabs, stairs and ramps between levels, planters with greenery, mooring bollards.

Pontoons

Floating reinforced-concrete blocks with mooring fittings; a connection to water and electricity is provided.

The slipway

An inclined reinforced-concrete slab with a pit for a winch — to lift boats out of the water for storage and repair.

Refueling

A reinforced-concrete tank with sealed fuel tanks, surrounded by compacted sand; a separate area for a fuel truck.

The promenade

Landscaped paths, rest areas, stairs and ramps to all levels and to the pontoons.
